October 6, 13, 20, 27: Shopping open to the Public

Public shopping will kick off on October 6th and continue every Friday throughout October, from 6 pm to 8 pm. Join us for a month of Halloween costume fun! 🎃🛍️

We're thrilled to announce that we'll be popping up at Haven in Pontiac, opening our closet to registered non-residents to shop for costumes. Last year, we were able to provide over 100 costumes to those in need, and we can't wait to make this Halloween season just as special! 🎃👻

Grant a Wish begins, and you can be a part of the magic by sponsoring a costume for a child at Haven's Shelter through our Amazon List. We have 21 wishes to grant! 🌟

Glinda's Closet partnered with Shelter of Flint on 9/30/23 to give away costumes to 26 kiddos! Excitement was high as many kids couldn't wait for Halloween night and left wearing their costumes!

Strikes for Costumes Fundraiser 8/25/2023

We are immensely grateful to everyone who attended our fundraiser, and we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the businesses that generously contributed. Your support not only helped us reach our fundraising goal but also demonstrated the incredible strength of our community when we come together for a common cause.

Farmer’s Market Kid’s Day

We want to extend our spooktacular thanks to the amazing Ortonville community for joining us at the Ortonville's Farmers Market on July 29, 2023, and making it a wickedly good time!

Your presence, made it a ghoulishly good time, and we can't wait to see you again for more delightful events!

Kick or Treat Kickball Fundraiser: 6/10/2023

Our Kick or Treat kickball game really KICKED our season off right!

Not only did we have a lot of fun, but we surpassed our fundraising goal by 200%! We are blown away from the support that we received and could not be more appreciative of everyone's generosity. These funds will be used to help support our initiatives with two new partnerships this fall, which will be announced very soon!

Haven’s Giveaway Event

10/08/2022

Our team brought a few hundred costumes and accessories from our magical closet to Haven today, where registered attendees could shop for basic need items and for Halloween Costumes for their families at no cost.

We were able to provide over 100 kids with costumes, candy, and trick-or-treat buckets today.

Glinda's Closet Costume Giveaway is a free public event where parents or guardians can bring their kids to try on free costumes from the spellbinding selection in Glinda’s Closet. We want to ensure families that may not be able to afford costumes this year can participate in the Halloween fun all October. We had a lot of little goblins leave with cool costumes and a big smile.

We provided costumes, treats, story time on the porch, and had a few special friends to help the kids shop our magical closet. Every kid left with a trick-or-treat bag. We hope to see you next year!

Septemberfest

Thanks to everyone who came and said hello at the Real Estate One Ortonville tent!

We had such a great time meeting you all. We played games, passed out candy, and made lots of magical wands.

All donations received at this event we’re matched at 50% by Real Estate One of Ortonville.

Back to School Night

We partnered with Oakwood and Harvey Swanson Elementary Schools in Brandon School District to run a costume drive on September 15th & 16th.

Between the two schools we received about 140 costumes. Amazing job Blackhawks. We hope to do it again next year.

National Lemonade Day

Thank you to the Ortonville Farmers Market and Impact North for collecting donations for Glinda's Closet on National Lemonade Day.

Local children worked the stand serving delicious lemonade from 9 am - 2 pm. We are honored to accept today's donation. Thank you to the above businesses and community who made today's donation possible.

Thank you to everyone that came out on August 19th and made Glinda’s Closets Strikes for Costumes fundraiser a huge success. We will be able to purchase many costumes this fall for kids in need in our communities and for our Grant A Wish partnership with Haven.
